This Lincoln-based position’s primary responsibility is EPSCoR financial transactions, and communicating about them. As the Accounting Technician, you provide budget and the necessary grant funding information to university administration, campuses' sponsored programs offices, grant funding agencies (primarily the National Science Foundation), auditors and other representatives when appropriate. This position also works with other departmental accounting personnel who support institutions serving on sub-awards for EPSCoR funding. Providing information and support for grant reports and other financial reports is also required. The position may assist with other EPSCoR business including outreach efforts and the planning and organization of the annual state conference and other EPSCoR-sponsored events.

Minimum Required Qualifications include:
  • Associates degree in a related field and three years of professional financial, accounting, grant report writing work experience OR a bachelor’s degree (an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge is acquired may be considered)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in addition to proficient editing and proofreading skills and an eye for detail and accuracy.
