Teaching and Research Equipment "TRE" Awards
Nebraska EPSCoR intends to increase access to teaching and research equipment for scientific education and research training at Nebraska's small public and private colleges and universities. The program is funded by an NSF infrastructure grant to Nebraska EPSCoR.
Who May Apply:
Nebraska's small public or private colleges with annual research expenditures of less than $8 million are eligible to submit ONE proposal per funding cycle via their Sponsored Programs Office (or equivalent).
Project Eligibility:
This TRE program emphasizes new, shared-use equipment and instrumentation that will enhance research and/or educational activities for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) learning. Each equipment request must not exceed $50,000 total. The award from Nebraska EPSCoR pays 80% of the new equipment's cost, with 20% coming from the requesting institution.
