Boosting Nebraska's STEM Research Ecosystem
NSPIRE launched in 2026 as an E-CORE project, funded by U.S. National Science Foundation EPSCoR, to focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) advancement for our state.
Nebraska EPSCoR conducts NSPIRE activities for statewide benefit with funded partners: Creighton University, Mid-Plains Community College, University of Nebraska at Kearney, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Southeast Community College.

ADMINISTRATIVE -- Serving as NSPIRE's operational hub, this core coordinates planning and implementing of NSPIRE initiatives, advisory groups, and project evaluation.
RESEARCH -- This core group boosts infrastructure support and training for STEM grant-seeking and administration at Nebraska's small colleges and universities. It also guides NSPIRE's Innovation Pipeline efforts.
PARTNERSHIPS & COLLABORATIONS -- This NSPIRE core connects partner activities and promotes STEM collaborations in targeted regions throughout Nebraska.
EDUCATION & WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT -- The EWD team focuses on upskilling youth and adults for STEM careers across the state, working closely with Nebraska teachers
